CACEIS Bank, a banking arm of the CACEIS group and owned by Credit Agricole and Santander, has been granted a license by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) to provide crypto custody services in France. This license, known as PSAN status, allows CACEIS Bank to operate as a crypto asset custodian and store users’ private keys. CACEIS claims to be the only French custody specialist to be granted this status. The company aims to meet the growing demand for digital asset custody services from investment management companies and institutional investors. CACEIS plans to offer secure storage for clients’ private digital keys using advanced technology. The company registered as a digital asset service provider (DASP) with the AMF on June 20th. CACEIS is a leading player in the asset-servicing industry with $2.3 trillion in assets under administration.
