2024 Collaboration Prospects: Exploring the Potential Alliance between Arbitrum, Cardano, and Mina Protocol

Potential Collaboration in 2024

Sebastien Guillemot, co-founder of DcSpark and Paima Studios, recently discussed the possibility of a collaboration in 2024. In a post on X, Guillemot mentioned that you can expect more projects that combine Arbitrum with Cardano and Mina Protocol in 2024.

Guillemot believes that joining these platforms could be valuable, especially considering Ethereum’s struggles in the market.

Cardano’s Current Limitation

While there is excitement about upcoming projects, Guillemot recognizes that Cardano’s current infrastructure prevents it from validating zero-knowledge proofs until the next hardfork.

On the other hand, Paima Studios aims to elevate decentralized gaming to compete with web2. The studio’s blog post emphasizes the integration of Paima Engine with Cardano after previously focusing on Ethereum-based platforms.

The post also highlights the limitations of existing layer-1 blockchains that dominate most of the crypto market but struggle to scale for mass multiplayer online games (MMOs).

Guillemot proposes using Zero Knowledge (ZK) cryptography to enhance scalability and overcome data storage limitations on layer-1 blockchains. This could pave the way for widespread adoption of decentralized gaming.

Growth and Activity for Cardano, Arbitrum, and Mina

As these innovative concepts in MMOs come closer to realization, Cardano (ADA) has experienced significant growth of over 120% in the past year. However, it is still 80% below its record peak from September 2021.

In addition to Cardano, Arbitrum (ARB) and Mina Protocol (MINA) have also shown notable activity. Arbitrum’s current price is around $1.3, having reached an all-time high of $8.67 nine months ago. Meanwhile, Mina has seen a recent price increase to approximately $1.17, marking a 200% rise from its all-time low in October 2023.

Last week, the Mina Foundation experienced a leadership change with Kurt Hemecker taking over as the new CEO, replacing Evan Shapiro, the co-founder and former CEO.

Hot Take: The Future of Decentralized Gaming

The potential collaboration between Cardano, Arbitrum, and Mina Protocol in 2024 could revolutionize decentralized gaming. By leveraging ZK cryptography and addressing the scalability issues of layer-1 blockchains, these projects aim to enable mass multiplayer online games on a decentralized platform.

Cardano’s growth and the activity surrounding Arbitrum and Mina indicate a positive trajectory for these platforms. As the development progresses and more projects emerge, we can expect the landscape of decentralized gaming to evolve and challenge traditional web2 gaming platforms.
