Crypto exchange Gemini has announced that it will enable withdrawals for customers impacted by the Voyager bankruptcy. The crypto transfer window will close on July 23, 2023. Gemini will offer a promotional welcome to all Voyager customers who join the exchange, giving them $5 in BTC when they sign up and become verified within 30 days. Voyager customers can create a Gemini account to receive their cryptocurrencies, but tokens that are not supported by Gemini cannot be sent to the exchange. Sending unsupported tokens or using an unsupported network will result in a complete loss of funds. If users fail to withdraw their tokens within the withdrawal period, the funds will be liquidated and distributed in cash. Voyager customers will initially receive 35.72% of what they are owed. Voyager previously failed to negotiate deals with FTX US and Binance due to regulatory hurdles. Gemini has faced challenges on the regulatory front as well, leading to its expansion abroad. Last week, Gemini launched its Ethereum staking program in the UK and is planning to increase its presence in Singapore. It is also securing a crypto license in the UAE.
