Ripple CEO Stays Committed to Utility Amid US Challenges

The event aims to promote policy and technological dialogue in the financial services sector. Ripple CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, attended the conference and emphasized the industry’s shift towards building utility and fundamental infrastructure during the recent bear market. He also mentioned the challenging regulatory climate in the United States, referring to it as “permafrost.” The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has taken an aggressive stance towards the industry, filing lawsuits against Ripple, Coinbase, Binance, and others, claiming that many cryptocurrencies are securities.
