The Supply of Bitcoin Last Active in Over 5 Years Reaches All-Time High
A whale address that had been inactive for over a decade recently transferred all 1,037.42 BTC, worth $30 million, to a new address. This marks the first activity from the bitcoin holder since 2012 when they acquired the BTC at a price of $4.92 each. Despite this movement, the supply of bitcoin last active in at least five years has reached an all-time high. Approximately 29.126% of the circulating BTC has been held by long-term investors, indicating increased confidence in the asset’s long-term potential. If demand continues to outpace supply, the BTC price could experience upward pressure. The Bitcoin block height has also reached above 800,000, highlighting the resilience of the network as it aims for further growth.
