Sony announces price increase for PlayStation Plus yearly plans
Sony has announced that it will be increasing the prices of its yearly plans for the PlayStation Plus game subscription service starting on September 6. The service, which offers online play for PlayStation 5 and PS4 gamers and provides free downloadable games each month, currently offers three subscription tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. The new prices for yearly subscriptions will be $79.99, $134.99, and $159.99 for Essential, Extra, and Premium, respectively. This means a price increase of 33% for Essential plans, 35% for Extra plans, and 33% for Premium plans. Monthly and three-month subscriptions will remain unchanged for now.
