The FBI Identifies Lazarus Group as Responsible for Global Crypto Thefts
The FBI has recently identified the Lazarus Group, a hacking group from North Korea, as the culprits behind several notable cryptocurrency thefts worldwide. The group had previously faced sanctions from the US Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control in 2019. Stake, a well-known cryptocurrency casino based in Curaçao, offers various betting options with popular assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as a sportsbook with over 40 sports markets. Since its establishment in 2017, Stake.com has accumulated a user base of over 500,000 people from different countries, including Canada, Brazil, Japan, and the United Kingdom. The FBI has vowed to continue combating the illicit activities of the DPRK, which includes cybercrime and virtual currency theft.
