Terra Luna Classic undergoes v2.2.1 Core Upgrade
The L1 Terra Classic Task Force (L1TF) developer group has initiated the v2.2.1 core upgrade for the Terra Luna Classic chain. Unlike previous upgrades, this one is taking longer to complete. The upgrade includes significant changes such as a new cosmos SDK, tendermint migration to CometBFT, and IBC-go to v6. Additionally, it implements changes approved through governance voting, including splitting the burn tax to the distribution module.

The Terra Classic chain is slowly coming back online as validators begin to reconnect. AtomScan reports that blocks and inflation data are displaying correctly, but staked LUNC data is yet to be visible on the platform. Validators and node operators have confirmed their upgrade to the latest v2.2.1 release to prepare for the network upgrade.
