Microbt Introduces New M60 Series Bitcoin Mining Rigs
Ahead of Bitmain’s upcoming announcement about the S21 Antminer series and Canaan’s release of two new Avalon mining rigs, Microbt, a key competitor in the industry, has revealed its latest offering: the new M60 series BTC miners. This comes after Microbt’s previous mining rig, the M53S++, which can deliver 320 terahash per second (TH/s) at an efficiency rating of around 22 J/T.
Luxor and the team at hashrateindex.com reported that Microbt has overclocked the M53S++ model to achieve a staggering hashrate of over 360 TH/s. However, specific details regarding the hashrate output of the new M60 series were not provided in Microbt’s Tuesday announcement. The company stated that it will unveil the M60 series during the Blockchain Life 2023 event in Dubai on October 24, 2023.
Efficiency Rating of 1X J/T
The only information disclosed about the M60 series is that it will include a mining rig with an efficiency rating of 1X J/T. Additionally, Microbt announced an autumn sale for its earlier-generation mining rigs, which will run until September 28. Meanwhile, Bitmain is preparing to launch its Antminer S21 line at the 2023 World Digital Mining Summit (WDMS) on September 22 to 23. The S21 series will also feature a miner with an efficiency rating of 1X J/T.
