Jaynti Kanani Steps Back from Polygon, Focuses on New Adventures

Jaynti Kanani, one of the co-founders of Polygon, has recently announced that he will be reducing his day-to-day involvement with the project. This decision comes as developers work on Polygon 2.0, a project aimed at integrating zero-knowledge proofs seamlessly.

Kanani Announces Departure from Polygon

After actively participating in the creation and growth of Polygon for six years, Kanani has announced that he will be stepping down from his day-to-day involvement in the project. While he expressed his desire to embark on new adventures, he also mentioned that he will still contribute to Polygon indirectly.

The announcement received mixed emotions within the Polygon community. Sandeep Nailwal, another co-founder and software engineer, expressed his emotions and wished they could have continued their journey together.

Polygon 2.0 Progresses Amid Leadership Changes

Despite the leadership changes and Kanani’s reduced involvement, Polygon 2.0 remains a key focus for the project’s future. The upgrade was proposed last month and aims to integrate zero-knowledge proofs. It consists of four protocol layers dedicated to staking, interoperability, execution, and proofing.

The news of Kanani’s transition has not significantly affected Polygon’s native token, MATIC, as its price remains stable within the $0.55 to $0.58 range. At the time of writing, MATIC is valued at $0.56 with a 1.1% increase in the last 24 hours.

Hot Take: Kanani Paves the Way for Polygon’s Future Growth

Jaynti Kanani’s decision to step back from his day-to-day involvement in Polygon marks a new chapter for the project. While he will still contribute indirectly, this transition allows him to explore new adventures while maintaining his belief in Polygon’s bright future and passionate community.
