Immutable Partners with Amazon Web Services to Develop Infrastructure Solutions for Crypto Gaming
Blockchain gaming company Immutable has announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create infrastructure solutions for the crypto gaming industry. The collaboration aims to make it easier for developers to launch and scale their blockchain games.
Joining AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program
Immutable has joined AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program, which is a sales program for companies that utilize AWS services in their products. Game developers using the Ethereum-compatible Immutable X blockchain can now participate in AWS Activate, a program that offers technical support, up to $100,000 in AWS credits, and other resources for startups.
“By joining AWS ISV Accelerate and AWS Activate programs, we’re able to provide our vast network of game developers with a turnkey solution for quickly building and scaling web3 games,” said Immutable Chief Commercial Officer Jason Suen.
Growing Interest in Blockchain Games
AWS Head of Startups John Kearney acknowledged the rapid growth of the gaming sector within the blockchain industry. While he did not disclose the number of crypto firms in the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, he mentioned that many studios are exploring how to integrate crypto technology into their games. Kearney expressed excitement about the future of crypto-powered games and revealed that AWS is also collaborating with the Blockchain Game Alliance.
Collaboration between Immutable and AWS
AWS provides cloud computing platforms and data storage services, including offerings specifically tailored for the gaming industry such as cloud gaming services, game servers, game security services, and game analytics. Immutable is not the only blockchain company partnering with AWS; Avalanche joined the AWS Partner Network earlier this year.
Immutable X and Future Expansion
Immutable X and the upcoming Immutable zkEVM are both Ethereum scaling networks that support crypto games like Gods Unchained, Guild of Guardians, Illuvium, MetalCore, and Cross the Ages.
