Immutable Partners with Amazon Web Services to Support Game Developers
Sydney-based game development platform, Immutable, has announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to facilitate the launch of video games on the Ethereum blockchain. By collaborating with AWS, Immutable aims to accelerate the mainstream adoption of blockchain-based games by providing game developers with the necessary resources and tools.
“AWS is supercharging Immutable’s development by onboarding new game studios, and providing them with resources through our flagship AWS Activate startup program and AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program, which give them the tools to accelerate their global launch.”
– John Kearney, head of startups at AWS, Australia and New Zealand
One of Immutable’s upcoming offerings is Immutable zkEVM, a gaming chain on Ethereum that enables developers to introduce customized digital ownership. By leveraging AWS’s services, Immutable hopes to simplify the process for developers and allow them to build web3 games without needing to learn a new programming language.
AWS Marketplace: A Hub for Blockchain Solutions
AWS marketplace hosts over 70 validated blockchain solutions, making it a popular choice for blockchain workloads. Approximately 25% of all Ethereum workloads worldwide run on AWS. In addition to supporting Immutable, AWS also supports other protocols such as Hyperledger, Corda, Quorum, and more.
Accelerating Onboarding of Game Studios
Immutable plans to collaborate with AWS on go-to-market programs to expedite the onboarding process for game studios onto web3. This partnership aims to provide game developers with the necessary support and resources to successfully launch their games on blockchain networks.
IMX Token Performance
Following the announcement, Immutable’s native token IMX experienced a brief 5% increase, reaching a value of $0.55. However, it later dropped by 4% according to CoinMarketCap.
