The Open Network Foundation and Blockchain.com Collaborate to Make Crypto More Accessible
The Open Network Foundation (TON Foundation), a non-profit Swiss organization focused on growing a Web3 ecosystem within Telegram, has announced a partnership with Blockchain.com. Blockchain.com is a trusted platform for buying, selling, and trading cryptocurrency.
Through this collaboration, the TON Foundation and Blockchain.com aim to make crypto more accessible to the over 800 million monthly active users on Telegram. In September 2023, TON Space, a TON-based self-custody cryptocurrency wallet developed by the team behind Wallet, was made available to existing users outside of the United States.
Starting in November 2023, TON Space will be accessible by default in the Telegram menu for all Telegram users outside the United States. This means that both existing and new Telegram users will be able to access their wallets directly from the Telegram menu and enjoy a seamless experience of buying, selling, and trading crypto.
To facilitate easy onboarding and off-ramping, Toncoin will also be available in Blockchain.com’s 90 million wallets worldwide. Transaction pairs for GBP, USD, and EUR will be supported. As part of their commitment to providing value to users, Blockchain.com is offering a limited-time campaign where users can receive an extra $5 USD of Toncoin when they buy $20 USD of Toncoin on the platform.
In addition to this collaboration, TON Foundation will attempt to set a world record for the fastest blockchain on October 31, 2023. This event can be viewed live at live.ton.org and represents a significant milestone in the history of blockchain technology.
