Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried Found Guilty on All Charges

AUSA Danielle Sassoon presented the prosecution’s rebuttal, highlighting evidence that demonstrated Bankman-Fried’s fraudulent activities. The defense had no case and failed to refute the evidence presented by the prosecution. AUSA Sassoon emphasized a spreadsheet showing Alameda Research’s $65 billion line of credit, which remained unchallenged by the defense.

Next Steps in Bankman-Fried’s Case

Following his conviction, Bankman-Fried will return to jail while awaiting sentencing by Judge Lewis Kaplan. With guilty verdicts on all charges, he could face a maximum sentence of 110 years in prison. However, various factors will influence the final decision, including the Pre-Sentence Report (PSR) prepared by the probation officer.

Bankman-Fried’s sentencing is scheduled for March 28, 2024. Prior to that, both parties will file post-trial motions by December 11, allowing Bankman-Fried and his lawyers to express their concerns about the trial and potentially request a new trial.
