Gemini Loses Chief Technology Officer

Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange founded by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, is set to lose its chief technology officer, according to Bloomberg. Pravjit Tiwana, who previously held positions at Amazon and Disney, will be stepping down from his role at Gemini this month. Tiwana also served as CEO of Gemini APAC. Neither Tiwana nor Gemini have responded to requests for comment.

Changes in Company Culture

During his time as CTO, Tiwana worked towards making Gemini’s culture more similar to that of Amazon. However, this shift resulted in some employees leaving the company. Tiwana was responsible for overseeing product, engineering, and design at Gemini.

Legal Battles and Lawsuits

Gemini has been involved in a prolonged dispute with Genesis and its parent company Digital Currency Group. Additionally, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a lawsuit against Gemini.

With the ongoing legal battles and a shifting company culture, the cryptocurrency exchange faces challenges in maintaining stability and success. It remains to be seen how Gemini will navigate these obstacles under new leadership.
