Nifty Auto Index Closes on a Positive Note
The Nifty Auto index closed higher on Wednesday, with Ashok Leyland Ltd., TVS Motor Company Ltd., Balkrishna Industries Ltd., Tube Investments of India Ltd., and Eicher Motors Ltd. being the top gainers for the day. On the other hand, Bharat Forge Ltd., Bosch Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., and Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. were the top losers. The Nifty Auto index closed 0.48 per cent up at 16220.8.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 36.8 points at 19443.5, while the BSE Sensex stood up 33.21 points at 64975.61. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 ended in the green, while 17 closed in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, and Easy Trip Planners were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of HB Stockholding, North Eastern, Alpa Labs, Dhunseri Petrochem, and Concord Biotech Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Fourth Dimension Sol, Winsome Yarns, Compuage Infocom, Sheetal Cool, and Atam Valves hit their fresh 52-week lows.
