Uniswap Founder Warns of Phishing Scam
If you’re part of the crypto community, listen up. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams recently issued a warning about a phishing scam involving Uniswap.
On November 10, Hayden took to Twitter and shared screenshots of reports of a $2 million exploit through the Uniswap platform. However, he confirmed these reports to be fake and asked everyone to be careful not to fall into the trap of scammers.
No $2 Million Uniswap Token Scam, False News Alert
Adams clarified that accounts claiming a $2 million Uniswap phishing scam by ZachXBT and Certik are not real. These fake accounts were used to spread false news about the Uniswap scam, causing panic among users. The scammers even organized a Zoom recording with fake high-ranking Uniswap executives and shared a link asking users to revoke approval by clicking on it.
However, Adams confirmed that neither Uniswap nor the Uniswap Foundation were involved in the video or associated with the individuals involved in this scam.
Crypto Community Reacts to Hayden’s Warning
After sharing his post, many members of the crypto community reacted positively and expressed gratitude for the awareness message and for keeping the crypto community safe. Some users shared funny responses tagging ZachXBT and Certik but others indicated the need to be saved from such frauds and crypto scams.
Reacting to Hayden’s post, ZachXBT stated that such replication of accounts is common but confirmed that the account sharing the Uniswap scam news is not original.
