Shares of Ipca Laboratories Ltd., Laurus Labs Ltd., Natco Pharma Ltd., Pfizer Ltd., and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. were the top gainers, while Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Biocon Ltd., Abbott India Ltd., GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Gland Pharma Ltd. were the top losers of the day.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 82.0 points at 19443.55, and the BSE Sensex stood down 325.58 points at 64933.87, with 16 stocks in the Nifty index closing in the green and 34 in the red.
