Nifty Realty Index Closes on Negative Note
The Nifty Realty index ended the day down 0.41 per cent at 663.45, with Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 4.97 per cent) and Sobha Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) as the top gainers, while Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(down 3.19 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 2.32 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(down 1.93 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.0 per cent) and Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 0.92 per cent) finished as the top losers.
The Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 82.0 points at 19443.55, while the BSE Sensex stood down 325.58 points at 64933.87, with 16 stocks in the Nifty index closing in the green and 34 in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Reliance Power, JP Power, Vodafone Idea and Infibeam Avenues were among the most traded shares on the NSE today, with Crest Ventures, Everest Kanto, SMC Global Secur, Wockhardt and Thejo Engg hitting their fresh 52-week highs and Compuage Infocom, Penta Gold, Amines Plastic, SS Infrastructure and Fourth Dimension Sol hitting their fresh 52-week lows.
