Introducing Dogami Academy
Paris-based gaming startup Dogami has recently launched a new mobile game called Dogami Academy, which is now available for both iOS and Android users. The game is currently in early access and can only be played by Dogami NFT holders. Players of the game are rewarded with crypto tokens for their participation.
About the Game
Dogami Academy is a dog training and racing game that combines strategic elements with training and obstacle course navigation. It allows players to compete online in various events. The current game environment is based on Paris, with plans for more locations in the future.
Earning Rewards
As players race computer-controlled opponents, they earn an in-game currency known as STAR, which can be used to upgrade their virtual dogs. In addition, multiplayer events allow players to earn DOGA tokens, which can be traded on centralized and decentralized crypto exchanges.
NFTs and Future Plans
Dogami has released a total of 12,000 dog NFTs across the Tezos and Polygon blockchains. Players have already participated in around 500,000 in-game races during a week of playtesting. A free-to-play version of the game is set to launch in the first quarter of 2024, but it will not offer crypto token rewards, unlike the NFT version.
Closing Thoughts
“Our vision is to bring a little more joy, fantasy, and entertainment into the world, and Dogami Academy is the perfect vehicle for us to accomplish this,” said Kristofer D. Penseyres, co-founder and chief branding officer of Dogami.
