Space Technology Firm Planning to Send Dogecoin to the Moon

A space technology firm has announced its intention to send the popular meme asset Dogecoin (DOGE) to the moon in December. Astrobotics, a company that specializes in space robotics technology, has revealed plans to physically transport DOGE on the Peregrine Lunar Lander when it launches on December 23rd.

The team behind DOGE made the announcement via Twitter, stating that “Astrobotic plans to send a physical Dogecoin to the moon in the DHL Moonbox via ULA’s (United Launch Alliance) Vulcan Centaur Rocket on 12/23/2023. Funded by our community in 2015, this mission embodies collective effort!”

According to Astrobotic’s launch packet, the physical Dogecoin will be transported to the moon using German logistics firm DHL’s MoonBox, which is a time capsule designed to store goods for centuries on the lunar surface. The mission will include “Moon Capsules” with payloads from around the world, creating a lasting link between life’s most meaningful moments and our closest celestial neighbor.
