Crypto tax software company CoinLedger has compiled a ranking of the most popular personalities in the digital asset sector, using their social media followings as a measure of their influence. The list is based on the 30 most influential people in the crypto space for 2023.
Highest-Ranking Personalities
According to the CoinLedger report, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder and CEO of Binance, is identified as the most popular personality in the industry, with a combined following of nine million on Twitter and Instagram, the bulk of which comes from Twitter.
Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, has a combined following of 7.7 million on Twitter and Instagram, making him the second most popular personality in the crypto space.
In third place is Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter and current owner of Block, with 6.4 million followers on Twitter, as he has removed his Instagram account.
Following closely behind Dorsey is Michael Saylor, co-founder of MicroStrategy, and a well-known Bitcoin advocate, with a total social media following of over 3.2 million.

Rounding out the top five is Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of Ark Invest, with a similar Twitter following as Saylor.
Other notable figures in the top ten include Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX exchange, who holds the tenth spot with 1.9 million followers on Twitter and Instagram.
