Three Rounds of NFT Auctions
In a recent post, Square Enix, the creator of Final Fantasy, revealed its plans to sell Symbiogenesis NFTs through three auction phases.

Specific Dates for Each Phase
The first auction will take place from November 27 to November 28, followed by the second auction from November 30 to December 1. The final round of auctions will occur between December 2 and December 3.
NFT Characters in Each Auction
Chapter 1 of Symbiogenesis will introduce 500 character NFTs. The initial auction will offer ten unique NFT characters, the second auction will have an additional 90 characters, and the final round will feature 400 NFT characters.
Exclusive Access for Stakeholders
The first phase of the auction will be exclusively available to stakeholders, allowing initial investors to participate during the November 27-28 phase.
Permission-Based Entry Campaign
The subsequent phases will open to participants who took part in a permission-based entry campaign. This campaign involved collectors engaging in quizzes and a treasure hunt within a prototype of the Symbiogenesis universe from November 7 to November 21.
Square Enix’s Web3 Gaming Initiative
Symbiogenesis is Square Enix’s entry into web3 gaming, fulfilling President Yosuke Matsuda’s desire expressed earlier this year. In July, Square Enix partnered with blockchain gaming firm Enjin to create NFTs based on characters from Final Fantasy VII.

Square Enix describes Symbiogenesis as a “digital collectible art project” that offers an immersive, narrative-driven gaming experience. The game revolves around characters and items minted as Ethereum (ETH) NFTs on the Polygon (MATIC) network. It is set to launch in December after the initial NFT minting process.
