Square Enix Launches NFT Auction for Symbiogenesis Game
Square Enix, the creator of popular games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, has started its first NFT auction for its upcoming game called Symbiogenesis. In addition to the auction, the company will also be giving out free NFTs as gifts to bidders who participate in the process. The launch date for Symbiogenesis has also been announced.
Game Launch Date Revealed
Square Enix has revealed that Symbiogenesis, a browser-based Ethereum and Polygon NFT game, will be launched on December 21. Although it was previously announced that the game would debut in December, no specific date was given until now.
Three-Stage Rollout of NFT Characters
The first mint and auction process for Symbiogenesis began on Monday with a three-stage rollout plan. A total of 500 in-game Ethereum NFT characters will be made available for bidding.
Distribution of NFTs
Ten character NFTs will be offered to Symbiogenesis stakeholders and contributors during the first window from November 27-28. Another 90 NFTs will be released through a priority mint from November 30 to December 1 for top players who completed challenges in the game’s official Discord server. The largest chunk of 400 character NFTs for Chapter 1 will be offered from December 2-3 to users who were added to an allowlist during the Discord campaign.
Bonus NFTs for Bidders
To encourage bidding and reward participants, Square Enix announced that bonus NFTs will be given out during the sale. Anyone who places a bid will receive a free “special countdown illustration” NFT, and those who place a bid of at least 0.05 ETH will receive a “Member Card Red (Colored)” NFT that provides additional points when logging into Symbiogenesis.
