The Nifty Pharma Index Closes Higher
The Nifty Pharma index closed on a positive note, with several pharmaceutical companies seeing gains. Granules India Ltd., Ipca Laboratories Ltd., Biocon Ltd., Laurus Labs Ltd., and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. were the top gainers of the day. However, Divi’s Laboratories Ltd., Abbott India Ltd., GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Pfizer Ltd., and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. ended as the top losers.
The Nifty Pharma index closed at 15990.1, marking a 0.56% increase. The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 206.9 points at 20096.6, while the BSE Sensex stood up 727.71 points at 66901.91.

Out of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 closed in the green, while 9 closed in the red. Some of the most traded shares on the NSE were Indian Renewable, JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, and Suzlon Energy.
Aster DM Health, Shradha Infraproject, Marksans Pharma, Torrent Power, and Minda Corp. reached their fresh 52-week highs during today’s trade. On the other hand, Bohra Industries, Karda Const, Fourth Dimension Sol, Raj Rayon, and SEL Manufact hit their fresh 52-week lows.
