Kingship Expands into Roblox with Interactive World
Kingship, a fictional “supergroup” composed of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT avatars, has ventured into the world of Roblox. Universal Music Group’s 10:22PM label created Kingship, and they recently launched an interactive world on the popular gaming platform.
The Kingship Islands game on Roblox allows players to crash land on an island paradise and embark on a quest to unite the band members. During the first six weeks after launch, players have the opportunity to earn free in-game items and avatar emotes.
Kingship has also introduced animated avatar accessories that utilize Roblox’s facial animation technology. These items, along with Kingship-themed emotes, can be purchased through the in-game shop and the Roblox Marketplace.
Holders of the Kingship Key Card, an Ethereum NFT pass, will receive special access to content and experiences related to the band. They will also receive exclusive Roblox badges and Floating Villa access.
Kingship was developed as a metaverse band inspired by the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT avatars. The project allows NFT holders to commercialize their artwork by developing and selling derivative projects and products.
Grammy-winning producers Hit-Boy and James Fauntleroy have joined Kingship to create music for the fictional band. Roblox players will have the opportunity to sample some of their work.
