Square Enix’s blockchain game project, Symbiogenesis, has introduced its first batch of Ethereum NFT heroes. These characters have unique and peculiar names that don’t seem to match their appearances. Despite this, they are being sold for significant amounts of money. For example, someone spent over $1,200 worth of ETH on an NFT character named “Egg,” while another paid over $500 for a hero named “Starvation.” The names given to these characters might seem random or generated by an AI name generator.
Unusual Names for Characters
One hero named “Kennel” looks more like a punk rock band member than a representation of a dog’s enclosure. Similarly, “Dimple” lacks dimples, “Hair” appears to be bald, and “Tuber” looks more like a secret military operative than a root vegetable. This departure from traditional fantasy-inspired names seen in Square Enix’s previous games is evident in all 500 characters of the Symbiogenesis Chapter 1 NFT collection.
