OverProtocol Announces Mainnet Launch and Open Beta Testnet
OverProtocol, a Layer 1 blockchain platform focused on democratizing validation, has revealed its plans for next year, including the launch of its mainnet in the first half. The project recently completed a closed beta testnet with 15,000 applicants from 127 countries, and they have now announced an open beta testnet and incentive program open to everyone.
Community Airdrop Program
As part of their community-centric launch plan, OverProtocol will conduct an airdrop through the OverProtocol Community Airdrop Program (OCAP) to help build a strong community. The airdrop will be split into two quests. The first quest is already active on OverWallet, with over 4.7 million users participating. The second quest invites users to engage with OverProtocol by running validators on the Open Beta Testnet.
Open Beta Testnet and Home Staking
The Open Beta Testnet will be divided into two seasons: Season 1 runs from December 13th to 22nd, and Season 2 is scheduled for February. Participants can experience Home Staking by running a node and validator at home through OverNode, as well as learn about Ethanos, a key feature of OverProtocol. The accumulated scores from both seasons will determine the airdrop amount.
Instructions for Season 1
To participate in Season 1 of the Open Beta Testnet, download and install the OverNode client. Then, complete the missions provided within the client. Additionally, make sure to follow the Official OverNode Channel on X and access OverNode from the Official Website starting from December 13th.
OverProtocol’s Vision
OverProtocol is a layer 1 blockchain that operates on the ‘Ethanos’ protocol, which only considers active accounts valid. This allows for reduced storage requirements and empowers individuals to run full nodes from their home PCs. By running a validator, users can earn $OVER through Home Staking and access new payment options and financial opportunities.
About OverProtocol
OverProtocol is committed to fostering a decentralized ecosystem by allowing anyone to serve as a validator. Using the innovative ‘Ethanos’ technology, individuals can operate full nodes from their home desktops. Their goal is to bring the power of a new internet into the hands of users.
Hot Take: OverProtocol Takes Steps Towards Democratizing Validation
OverProtocol’s mainnet launch and open beta testnet mark significant milestones for the project. By democratizing validation and allowing anyone to serve as a validator, OverProtocol aims to create a truly decentralized ecosystem. The Community Airdrop Program and the two quests provide opportunities for users to actively engage with the platform and be rewarded. The use of Home Staking and the ‘Ethanos’ protocol demonstrate OverProtocol’s commitment to efficiency and reduced storage requirements. With these initiatives, OverProtocol is taking steps towards a vision of decentralization and a new internet that empowers its users.
