Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his social media platform Truth Social Tuesday the launch of his new digital trading card collection, called the Mugshot Edition, following the success of his previous NFT collections. The price of each NFT card remains at $99.
In addition to the digital cards, Trump is offering a unique incentive. If you purchase 47 cards, you will receive a physical trading card that includes a piece of the suit he wore in his infamous mugshot. Some of the physical cards will also be autographed by Trump himself. Furthermore, buyers of 47 cards will be invited to a gala dinner at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
This is not the first time Trump has ventured into the NFT market. He previously released two NFT collections, one featuring art of his life and career, and another launched just days after his indictment on felony charges.
It is worth noting that the release of Trump’s mugshot photo earlier this year caused a significant surge in sales for his existing digital cards, with a 426% increase in sales within 24 hours. Additionally, Trump reported income of over $1 billion from various sources, including NFT sales.
