Avalanche Network Gas Fee Surges Due to BEEG Inscription Event
On December 18, the average gas fee on the Avalanche network skyrocketed to an unprecedented 5,110.30 nAVAX, equivalent to approximately $4.41. This surge in fees was a result of a unique event initiated by the founder of Trader Joe, known as @cryptofishx on social media. He introduced an inscription called Avascription, with the nickname “BEEG,” which follows the ASC-20 standard.
BEEG Gains Adoption Despite Experimental Nature
Initially launched as a social experiment without a clear roadmap or practical use, BEEG has witnessed significant adoption. Within just 2 hours and 15 minutes of its release, 37% of BEEG tokens were minted, attracting the attention of around 4,300 holders.
I know I’m probably public enemy no.1 rn (sorry), but got some good news to share:$BEEG minting seems to be speeding up. We’re 37% minted in 2h15m and ~4300 holders which is incredible
I was thinking we might take weeks to mint out but looks like we’ll get there much sooner… pic.twitter.com/DMZDNB2wDp
