Important Greenlight Given to Bank of Ireland for Major Ripple (XRP) Development

Ripple Registers with Ireland’s Central Bank

Ripple has achieved another milestone as Ripple Markets Ireland Limited is now listed as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) by the Central Bank of Ireland. This registration allows Ripple to offer digital asset services within Ireland and positions the company for expansion across the European Economic Area once the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA) takes effect in late 2024.

Ripple’s European Expansion Plans

With its new registration, Ripple is well-positioned to expand its services in Europe. The company has already established a presence in Ireland, opening an office in Dublin last year. Ripple sees Ireland as a supportive jurisdiction for the virtual assets industry and an ideal base for EU regulation.

Ripple Maintains Presence in the U.S.

Despite ongoing legal battles with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ripple remains committed to its presence in the United States. The company recently moved to a new office in San Francisco ahead of its upcoming trial against the SEC.

Hot Take: Ripple’s International Growth Continues

Ripple’s registration with Ireland’s Central Bank is a significant development that paves the way for further expansion in Europe. With its solid presence in Ireland and ongoing operations in the US, Ripple is demonstrating its commitment to global growth and establishing itself as a key player in the blockchain industry.
