Chainlink Labs Awards Winners in Web3 Ecosystem Hackathon
Chainlink Labs has announced the winners of its recent hackathon, which focused on solving specific challenges in the Web3 ecosystem. The top prize of $25,000 went to Unwallet.me, a multi-chain crypto wallet that operates without seeds or gas fees. Unwallet.me utilizes the account abstraction mechanism to connect to different blockchain networks within a single domain name. It supports various cryptocurrencies across distributed ledgers with the help of Chainlink Price Feeds oracles.
“Constellation was our best, most successful hackathon to date, both in terms of quality and quantity.”
– Harry Papacharissiou, developer advocate manager at Chainlink Labs.
Winners in Different Categories
In the “DeFi and Payments” category, Azurance, an on-chain insurance market, received the first prize of $15,000. Developers can build or use customized insurance contracts on this platform. XTF, a decentralized cross-chain ETF platform, won $15,000 in the “Cross-Chain Solutions” category. XTF allows users to redeem actual assets stored in ETF vaults by returning their ETF tokens. In total, Chainlink Labs distributed over $500,000 among nearly 40 participants.
Upcoming Hackathon
The next Constellation hackathon is scheduled for spring 2024. These hackathons focus on projects that utilize at least one Chainlink service that triggers a state change on a blockchain. It’s important to note that data reading from Chainlink Data Feeds alone does not qualify for a Chainlink core prize.
