Donald Trump’s Ethereum Wallet Transfers Funds to Coinbase
According to on-chain data, a crypto wallet associated with former U.S. President Donald Trump has moved millions of dollars worth of Ethereum to Coinbase. The wallet, which has been collecting royalties from Trump’s NFT collection for months, transferred 1,075 ETH (approximately $2.4 million) to the centralized exchange.
The purpose behind this transfer is unclear. However, it is revealed that the wallet still holds multiple cryptocurrencies valued at over $2.2 million. The majority of the funds are in ETH (around $1.4 million), followed by WETH (approximately $650,000) and the TRUMP token (about $177,000). At its peak, the wallet held about $4 million worth of various cryptocurrencies.
Release of “Mugshot Edition” NFT Collection
Interestingly, this transfer coincides with the launch of a new NFT collection called the “Mugshot Edition.” The collection features non-fungible tokens showcasing an infamous mug shot of Trump taken after his booking in an Atlanta-area jail. These charges were related to an alleged conspiracy to overturn Georgia’s election results.
