Whales Move Over $780 Million in Cryptocurrencies
New data reveals that wealthy crypto investors, known as whales, are transferring hundreds of millions of dollars worth of digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), to and from popular cryptocurrency exchange platforms. According to the whale-tracking platform Whale Alert, these whales have recently shifted a total of $780 million in virtual currencies, with almost $500 million of that being Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Transactions on Whale Alert’s Radar
Whale Alert has highlighted several significant Bitcoin transactions, including 3,167 BTC worth $139.7 million transferred from an unknown wallet to Coinbase, 2,000 BTC worth $88.3 million transferred from Coinbase to an unknown wallet, and 1,380 BTC worth $61 million transferred from Coinbase to a new unknown wallet. Additionally, 2,250 BTC worth $100.1 million was transferred between two unknown wallets, while 584 BTC worth $25.6 million was moved from Binance to an unknown wallet, and 1,815 BTC worth $79.6 million was transferred from Kraken to Bitfinex.
Other Transactions Involving Altcoins
In addition to Bitcoin transactions, Whale Alert also noted several transfers involving altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and XRP. Notable transactions include the transfer of 14,629 ETH worth $33.3 million from an unknown wallet to Coinbase, 14,648 ETH worth $32.9 million from an unknown wallet to Binance, and 20,997 ETH worth $47.2 million from Liquity to an unknown wallet.
Furthermore, Whale Alert highlighted the transfer of 26 million XRP worth $15.2 million from an unknown wallet to Bitso, and 24.7 million XRP worth $14.5 million from an unknown wallet to Bitstamp. Additionally, 883 million DOGE worth $72.9 million was transferred between two unknown wallets, and 307 million DOGE worth $25.4 million was moved from one unknown wallet to another.
