The Austrian exchange, Bitpanda, has formed a long-term partnership with Bayern Munich, becoming the exclusive crypto partner of the renowned German football club. This collaboration brings together Europe’s leading investment platform for digital assets with one of the largest and most successful football clubs. Starting from January 2024, Bitpanda will have extensive television visibility and representation in and around the Allianz Arena. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate with players as part of a broader branding commitment. The goal of this partnership is to align the brands of Bitpanda and Bayern Munich to promote mutual growth.
Bitpanda’s CEO, Eric Demuth, emphasized the shared values and entrepreneurial principles between the two entities that make them ideal partners. Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of Bayern Munich, also expressed confidence in Bitpanda’s quality and long-term prospects. Andreas Jung, Chief Marketing Officer of Bayern Munich, stated that Bitpanda integrates perfectly with the needs of the football club.
In addition to the partnership with Bayern Munich, Bitpanda has also collaborated with Raiffeisen Bank to introduce cryptocurrency trading services for retail customers in Vienna. This collaboration allows bank customers to access Bitpanda’s services, including trading over 250 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. With Raiffeisen Bank’s decision to offer these services, it highlights the increasing adoption of cryptocurrencies in regions with clearer regulations. The service aims to cater to digitally savvy customers who want to contribute in a more modest way.
The regulation of Bitpanda by financial authorities provides additional security to the service. It is worth noting that Raiffeisen Bank has been involved in blockchain-based initiatives, demonstrating its commitment to innovation in commercial finance experiments.
