Terra Luna Classic Core Security Upgrade
Terra Luna Classic core developer L1TF has announced an upgrade package to address the security risks and concerns of the Terra Luna Classic community. The upgrade will improve the security and stability of the chain, as well as meet the infrastructure requirements for TFL support.
Vinh Nguyen, a developer from the Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF), shared this announcement on January 16. The community has expressed concerns about the lack of new features stemming from legacy components of Terra Luna Classic.
The successful upgrade of core components will provide better security and stability, while also meeting the infrastructure needs for TFL support. Vinh Nguyen expressed gratitude to those who helped review the package, ensuring it aligns with the approved proposal.
The team, consisting of Vinh, Inon Man, and Frag (a voluntary contributor), expects to complete the upgrade in 11 weeks. The total budget for this project is $51,000, which will be held in a multisig account by members of the package and oversight committee. The Terra Classic components being upgraded include Wasm module (wasmd) and Wasm Virtual Machine (wasmvm), Cosmos SDK, Comet BFT, IBC-GO, and Mainnet.
