BNB Chain Announces 2024 Hackathon Program to Accelerate AI and Web3 Development
BNB Chain, the community-driven blockchain ecosystem, has unveiled its 2024 hackathon program aimed at boosting the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other sectors in Web3. The hackathon, titled ‘Building Smart and Fully-On-Chain Applications,’ offers incentives for AI innovation and includes additional tracks aligned with emerging industry trends. The program boasts renowned sponsors such as Polyhedra Network, Dora Factory, DEGO Finance, TUSD (TrueUSD), and THENA.
Web3 Trends Set to Propel Growth in 2024
2024 is expected to be a prosperous year for Web3 across various industries. AI applications alone secured $25 billion in funding in 2023, and the gaming sector is projected to experience remarkable growth from $922 million in 2022 to $7.1 billion by 2032. DappRadar data also indicates significant growth in Web3 gaming, with approximately 1 million unique active wallets engaging with Web3 games recently.
Tracks and Opportunities for Developers
The BNB Chain hackathon provides developers with the chance to build in several tracks including AI, Infrastructure, Gaming, DePIN, DeSoc, and DeSci. Additionally, there will be extra challenges from hackathon partners in Q1 to foster creativity and innovation.
Prizes and Support for Winners
In the first quarter of the hackathon, participants will have access to a $60,000 funding pool. Winners will receive a comprehensive Kickstart package worth $300,000 ($50,000 each), which includes credits from AWS, Google Cloud, and other essential development tools. There is also an opportunity to increase funding through the sponsor track, with an additional prize pool of up to $115,000. Winners will receive BNB Chain support for one month and the chance to interview with MVB. Additionally, a $10,000 prize pool will be distributed to all qualifying submissions as a token of appreciation.
Important Dates and Registration
Registrations for the hackathon are open from January 18th to February 1st, 2024. Workshops will be conducted on various dates throughout January and February.
