Hong Kong’s HashKey Capital and FTSE Russell Launch Cryptocurrency Indices
Hong Kong-based digital asset fund manager HashKey Capital has partnered with FTSE Russell, a division of the London Stock Exchange (LSEG), to introduce three cryptocurrency indices. The aim is to provide traders with an easier way to track multiple assets simultaneously, enabling them to plan investment strategies more efficiently.
The FTSE Custom Digital Asset Top 20 Index
One of the indices is the FTSE Custom Digital Asset Top 20 Index, which monitors the 20 largest crypto assets based on market capitalization. It represents at least 90% of the overall performance of the digital asset market.
The FTSE Custom Digital Asset Infrastructure Index
The second index, the FTSE Custom Digital Asset Infrastructure Index, tracks the digital assets that form the infrastructure layer of the crypto ecosystem. This includes intelligent contract platforms, protocol interoperability, and distributed computing and storage.
The FTSE Custom Digital Asset Application Index
The third index is the FTSE Custom Digital Asset Application Index, which monitors digital asset applications across the ecosystem, particularly those associated with staking tools and decentralized finance.
Data Providers and Availability
The indices will soon be accessible through various data providers, including Bloomberg, Factset, LSEG Data & Analytics, Morningstar, and S&P Capital IQ.
