Brink’s Company Partners with BitGo for Crypto Custody
Brink’s Company, a well-known armored truck firm specializing in cash transportation, has announced a strategic investment in and partnership with crypto custody company BitGo. As part of this collaboration, Brink’s will become BitGo’s global secure logistics and vaulting provider, according to Zac McKenna, the Manager of Digital Assets at Brink’s.
The exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and there have been no changes to the board of directors for either company following the investment. BitGo currently serves over 1,500 clients across 50 countries.
‘Increasingly Digital World’
Zac McKenna stated that “BitGo’s strong brand reputation, market position, and long track record of success in the digital asset industry increases our presence in the fast-growing and evolving blockchain landscape. In an increasingly digital world, it was a logical next step for Brink’s, the global leader in physical security and logistics, to partner with BitGo, the leader in digital asset security and custody.”
BitGo’s valuation reached $1.75 billion after a $100 million Series C funding round in August 2023. The funds were utilized for strategic acquisitions and global expansion.
