Ripple’s Managing Director for South Asia and MENA Resigns

Navin Gupta, the Managing Director of South Asia and MENA at Ripple, has resigned from his position to pursue new opportunities. After working at Ripple for approximately seven years, Gupta expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with the team in building the Internet of Value. Gupta’s departure comes just before the upcoming trial between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The legal battle began in 2020 when the SEC accused Ripple of conducting an unregistered securities offering by selling XRP tokens worth over $1.3 billion. However, Ripple has recently achieved several court victories, giving them an advantage in the lawsuit.

Positive Reception and Ripple’s Hiring Plans

Many users in the XRP community expressed their appreciation for Gupta’s contributions to the crypto industry and acknowledged his successful tenure at Ripple. Meanwhile, despite Gupta’s resignation, Ripple is actively expanding its team by seeking new hires in various locations.

One of these open positions is for a Senior Software Engineer in Bangalore, India, which was previously under Gupta’s purview. Additionally, Ripple is looking for a Senior Product Manager with expertise in DeFi in London and a Senior Software Engineer in Toronto.
