Unauthorized Photo Incident Raises Judge’s Concerns
During the trial between Craig Wright and the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA), an unauthorized photo of Bitcoin influencer Hodlonaut was uploaded, causing a disruption in the live stream. The incident came to light when a user reported that Hodlonaut’s photo had appeared online, allegedly taken from the trial’s livestream. The presiding Judge Mellor deemed it contempt of court and warned that the livestream could be cut off. The uploader’s identity is unknown, and it is unclear whether they took the photo themselves or if someone supplied it. Judge Mellor criticized the gallery members and emphasized that such events should not happen again.
Craig Wright’s Financial Support Revealed
In the ongoing trial, it was revealed that billionaire Calvin Ayre is financing Craig Wright’s legal battle against the Bitcoin developer community. Ayre, who co-founded the Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV) network, reportedly financed Wright’s Bitcoin patent filing in the past. However, the COPA team denied these allegations and stated that Wright took out a “commercial loan” for his lawsuits. Screenshots presented by COPA showed an IRC chat message between Ayre and Wright, indicating close contact between them.
