MrBeast: The Famous YouTuber and Bitcoin Investor
In September 2021, during an interview with Logan Paul, MrBeast, the well-known YouTuber, revealed that he had invested $1.5 million in Bitcoin eight months earlier when the price of BTC was $46,300.
MrBeast’s investment coincided with the beginning of a significant increase in Bitcoin’s price. The cryptocurrency reached an all-time high of $69,000 in November 2021. Currently, with BTC priced at $48,260, MrBeast’s initial investment has become profitable once again.
Bitcoin Price Surpasses $48,000
The price of Bitcoin is currently at $48,260, marking the highest value in the past year. Bitcoin has experienced a bullish trend over the last year, with a 121% increase in price and a 5% increase in the last month. In the past seven days alone, BTC has seen a 13% surge.
This positive market trend has contributed to Bitcoin’s total market cap nearing one trillion dollars. At present, Bitcoin’s market cap stands at $946 billion. The last time Bitcoin surpassed $48,000 was in March 2022.
MrBeast’s Relationship with Bitcoin on X
Similar to Elon Musk, MrBeast added a bitcoin hashtag to his Twitter bio when he made his $1.5 million investment in February 2021. Although MrBeast’s follower count on X has grown to 28.6 million since then, he no longer displays the bitcoin hashtag in his profile.
Instead of the bitcoin hashtag, MrBeast now has a pinned tweet showcasing a conversation between him and the owner of X. This move resembles Elon Musk’s communication style on Twitter.
