Creating Over 1.7 Million NFTs: The Achievement of Berachain’s Early Backers

Berachain Airdrop Hunters Mint Over 1.7 Million NFTs

Berachain, a yet-to-launch project, has attracted the attention of speculators who have minted over 1.7 million NFTs through engaging in tasks that may yield free tokens. The layer-1 network is powered by proof-of-liquidity and built on the Cosmos SDK, which allows for the creation of decentralized applications (dapps) using the Go programming language. Berachain fully implements the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) code, making it an EVM-equivalent L1 protocol that is compliant with Ethereum and supports dapps running on Ethereum’s mainnet.

Berachain Farming Vol.1 NFT and Bit Bears Trading Activity

During its testnet phase, Berachain released its “Berachain Farming Vol.1 NFT,” which led to increased trading activity on Opensea, a popular NFT marketplace. This activity was focused on digital collectibles called “Bit Bears.” Bit Bears has experienced a significant increase in volume over the last 30 days and has recorded over 5,831 Ether (ETH) worth approximately $14.9 million in all-time transactions.

X Ad Scammers Exploit Berachain Hype

Scammers have also taken advantage of the hype surrounding Berachain, particularly those advertising on social media platforms like X. These scammers aim to mislead web3 users into granting wallet transaction authorization, allowing them to drain the wallet’s value and potentially launder the funds through crypto mixers. As global crypto adoption increases, phishing scams and scammers have become more prevalent on social platforms. SlowMist reported that 80% of X comments are related to phishing software and scammers, and even high-profile entities like Trezor and Ripple have been targeted in these campaigns.
