Solana’s Saga Smartphone Pre-Orders Reach 100,000 in Less Than a Month
Solana Labs has announced that Solana Mobile’s highly-anticipated Saga smartphone has received 100,000 pre-orders within the last 30 days. The company revealed this milestone through a social media announcement and stated that the current special pre-order price will end in two days.
The team at Solana Mobile expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support and mentioned that the Founder Window and pre-order price of $450 will close in 48 hours. The goal is for the pre-order deposit amount to cover the entire cost of the new phone.
Pre-orders for the crypto-focused smartphone began in January, shortly after the first edition sold out quickly. Customers were given the opportunity to deposit $450 for the upcoming “Chapter 2” phone, set to ship in the first half of 2025.
One possible reason for the high sales is that purchasing a Saga smartphone came with a reward of free Bonk (BONK), a Solana-based competitor to Dogecoin (DOGE).
