Rabby Wallet Launches Beta Version of Mobile App, But Beware of Fake App on iOS App Store
Rabby Wallet, a popular crypto wallet developed by Debank, has recently announced the release of the beta version of its mobile app. However, users should be cautious when searching for Rabby Wallet on the iOS App Store, as there is a fraudulent app posing as the real one.
Due to Apple’s approval process, malicious apps like this sometimes slip through the cracks. According to a Reddit user, Apple Support claims that the fake app was initially approved as a different type of app and later updated to mimic Rabby Wallet’s interface after the official launch announcement.
“It seems this is a Long Con… What apparently happened here is this app was vetted and approved years ago into AppStore as I assume just some basic personal finance app, something generic. Then what they did is an ‘Update’ that rebranded into the Phishing Wallet with Rabby Wallet artwork recently, and their update was approved before and created this whole mess.”
