Rabby App Scams Continue Despite Apple’s Alert 😡📢

A fake version of the popular crypto wallet, Rabby Wallet, has been causing problems for users on the Apple App Store. Multiple users have reported significant financial losses as a result of downloading the malicious app. Despite user complaints, the fake app is still available for download, raising concerns about Apple’s app vetting process.

The real Rabby Wallet is a well-known crypto wallet created by Debank. It supports over 140 chains and multiple signing modes. Unfortunately, a fake version of the Rabby App was approved before the actual wallet app, leading users to download the fake app unknowingly. This fake app has no connection to the real Rabby Wallet and has raised alarms among users.

Users who fell victim to the fake app have reported losing significant amounts of money. Some have lost over $5000, while others have seen a 10% loss in their overall portfolio. One NFT collector reported losing nearly $40,000 worth of ETH. These experiences have been shared on platforms like Reddit and Apple’s official forums.

Despite being flagged by users, the fake app is still available on the App Store. This has raised concerns about Apple’s app screening protocols and their ability to detect fraudulent apps. Users have criticized Apple for allowing the fake app to remain active, especially since this is not the first time a fake Rabby app has appeared on the App Store.

The recurring presence of fake Rabby apps highlights the need for stronger measures to protect users from fraudulent apps in the future. Apple’s app verification procedures should be more stringent to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
