Arianee Chooses Polygon for Tokenizing Digital Product Passports
Arianee has selected the Chain Development Kit (CDK) from Polygon to create and optimize a layer 2 specifically for the tokenization of digital product passports (DPP – Digital Product Passport).
The association Arianee, consisting of over 40 brands like Audemars Piguet, Breitling, Panerai, Mugler, Moncler, and many others, will offer brands infrastructure based on Polygon to fully leverage NFTs and engagement tokens on a large scale.
- Arianee used Ethereum’s L2, Polygon and its CDK as open-source code base for the launch of L2 chains.
- Integration with Polygon CDK helps Arianee in building blockchain infrastructures in a secure, scalable, and cost-effective manner.
- With upcoming European regulation on DPPs, digital product passports are becoming the norm.
Polygon NFT: Ethereum’s L2 and Arianee’s DPP Tokenization
Arianee will allow brands to leverage an optimized Layer-2 chain dedicated to specific applications powered by Polygon to launch their digital product passports and loyalty tokens.
“We believe that Polygon’s CDK has the potential to revolutionize sectors far beyond cryptocurrency and finance. We are excited to see Arianee start building with Polygon CDK,” said Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs.
“Our decision to build a powerful L2 appchain powered by Polygon CDK allows us to take another important step towards building blockchain-based solutions where performance, scalability, and connectivity are the norm,” commented Pierre-Nicolas Hurstel, CEO and co-founder of Arianee.
Small Recovery for MATIC Crypto
The native crypto of Polygon, MATIC, has not been performing well in terms of price recently. Its price is down by -32% compared to last year.
- MATIC is underperforming compared to other layer-2 rival coins like IMX, OP, and SKL.
- There are likely reasons for this devaluation including inefficiency on Polygon that may come with the next Dencun upgrade of Ethereum.
- However, MATIC seems to be gaining ground with a +6% pump in the last seven days.
Hot Take: Conclusion
In conclusion, while Arianee’s choice of Polygon for tokenizing digital product passports is promising, there are concerns about MATIC’s underperformance. Despite this, it is worth keeping an eye on how both Arianee’s developments with Polygon and MATIC’s performance progress in the future.🔥
