OKX HK Withdraws VASP License Application
OKX HK, a prominent figure in the Hong Kong cryptocurrency scene, has opted to retract its application for a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license, as per a recent announcement on their official platform.

As a consequence of this definitive move, users will only be able to withdraw their assets post the specified date. The company has further clarified that OKX Web3 services will remain unaffected and accessible to users in Hong Kong.
Withdrawal Conditions and Schedules
Customers are permitted to withdraw assets from their OKX account to their self-custody wallet or other third-party platforms until 31st August 2024. Beyond this ‘Closure Date’, no asset withdrawal or transfer requests from the OKX account will be accommodated.
- Any remaining balances in customer OKX accounts post the Closure Date will be considered unclaimed property, following the company’s terms of use.
