A Comprehensive Guide to Formula E: Kickstart Your Play-to-Earn Racer Journey with High Voltage Tips

Formula E: High Voltage: A Play-to-Earn Game

Formula E: High Voltage is the first official game for eco-friendly motorsport, and it incorporates play-to-earn functionality. Winning is crucial because the more you win, the more tokens you earn.

To get started, visit the official site and click “connect wallet” to follow the on-screen instructions and start playing. After receiving your two starter drivers and cars, you’ll need to load up some REVV tokens from REVV Motorsport; then you’re ready to play.

How to Win the Race

When entering a race, your drivers will automatically drive qualification races for you. Your position in qualification determines where you start the race, and pole position grants bonus points in battle leagues.

During the race, you have three ways to influence your drivers. You must use these tools strategically to overtake opponents while managing your car’s battery. Running out of battery power significantly slows you down.

You have three driving modes that range from safe to aggressive. The mode you choose affects driver speed and battery consumption. Generally, spending more time in aggressive mode is advantageous.

If your battery is running low, you can choose to regenerate it, but be aware that this will slow down your driver. So, use this ability tactically.

Finally, there is an “attack” mode. Attack zones are marked on the ground with green or red arrows on the map view. By activating attack mode before entering these zones, you earn a boost that you can deploy at any time. However, taking the corner less tightly may result in being overtaken by opponents who are not attempting to get the boost. You must decide whether the boost is worth it or not.

Remember, each race requires a minimum number of attack zones entered. Failing to fulfill this requirement will result in point deductions. Finishing without deploying the speed boost also leads to point deductions.

Battle Leagues Explained

While you can practice against bots for free, the real excitement lies in the battle leagues. Entry costs 25 REVV tokens (about $0.29) and offers a share of the prize pool based on your finishing position.

In a battle league, you race against 20 bots and earn points based on your race position. Additional points are awarded for achieving pole position and recording the fastest lap. Failure to enter the minimum number of attack zones results in point deductions.

The top six players in each battle league receive a percentage of the prize pool, with first place receiving 40% and sixth place receiving 5%. We won approximately 136 REVV tokens ($1.60) after finishing first, second, and third in three battle leagues.

Drivers and Cars Explained

When you start playing, you receive two random drivers and cars. Each driver and car has unique stats for cornering, energy management, and top speed, which contribute to your team score.

Additionally, each driver and car has a unique ability triggered by weather conditions or overtaking opponents. For example, one of our vehicles restores its battery partially after overtaking an opponent during sunny weather.

If you’re not satisfied with your current racers, you can purchase crates from the shop. Team crates include two drivers and two car cards, while solo crates include one random card. The cards can be common, rare, epic, or legendary and are based on Formula E teams or fantasy teams.

Understanding the core mechanics of the game is straightforward: manage your battery while driving as fast as possible. However, the depth of gameplay comes from knowing when to utilize your arsenal effectively.

Having a strong team of drivers and cars certainly helps, but success ultimately depends on how well you manage your team. Good luck!
