Algorand Partners with Key Players in India for Web3 Push

Decentralized network Algorand (ALGO) has formed strategic collaborations in India to deepen the country’s Web3 foundation. The blockchain platform will partner with the Indian tech advocacy group NASSCOM, as well as TiE Bangalore and the Mann Deshi Foundation. The collaboration aims to foster Web3 capabilities and provide educational initiatives to support the Indian Web3 ecosystem.

Algorand will also develop a blockchain-based credit scorecard and identity system for women entrepreneurs of the Mann Deshi Foundation. The company is working on partnerships to build Web3 use cases in India and is anticipating the launch of India’s central bank digital currency (CBDC).

AlgoBharat Project

In March, Algorand launched its “AlgoBharat” project in India to support the country’s entry into the Web3 space. Through partnerships with organizations such as SEWA, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and the Indian School of Business, Algorand aims to support women-led enterprises and promote faculty development programs.

The company plans to engage with regulators this year to further explore opportunities in the Indian Web3 landscape.
